KAREN'S FILM WORK

Welcome to my little film world.

My production career began in the West Indies when I was dubbed Aquawoman by the local press. I was crazy enough to swim frequently between the islands of St. Thomas and St. John. (Seven miles of strong currents and zooming ferries.) After reading about me, the Virgin Island Film Commissioner came to enlist me. (Guess he wanted more wild and crazy people in his life.) I ended up scouting for a Warner Bros film the next day and translating for foreign production companies that came to shoot in the Caribbean. But who knew that one day all this would be great news for horses! (You'll see.)

I dabbled in film for years and eventually wrote the award winning script: WILD HORSES. Because of this highly acclaimed screenplay and my background in film, I can now reveal the devastation of mustangs to the world. We're shooting this feature film in the Fall of 2006.

Since WILD HORSES is a big production, with top names -- I'll be selling "visitation rights" to the film. For $1,000 buckaroos you can hang out on the set one day, watch the filming and eat with the cast and crew. All money will be donated to the International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros.

The script WILD HORSES won the Academy's Nicholl Fellowship (link below) and is currently being cast by the famous April Webster. April cast everything from TV's LOST, ALIAS, STARGATE, THE NANNY, COURTING ALEX, etc., to features such as THE PATRIOT, THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE III, EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS, GODZILLA, JAMES BOND: EVERYTHING OR NOTHING. (To name a tenth of what she's done.)
